Zumba an Alternative Sport for Us


Have you ever heard about zumba?

Zumba is happening now. In mycity, Bandung-West Java, Zumba become a popular sport especially for women.

What is Zumba ?

Zumba is a dance fitness program created by Colombian dancer and choreographer Alberto “Beto” Perez during the 1990s. Zumba involves dance and aerobic elements.

How Long Zumba Exercise ?
Zumba exercise are typically about an hour long and are taught by instructors licensed by Zumba Fitness, LLC. The exercises include music with fast and slow rhythms, as well as resistance training.

Where we can do some zumba exercise ?

We can do the exercise in the Gym, studio or our lovely home.

How’s about me ?

I always do some exercise of zumba at home using DVD. I do some exercise regularly for about 3 times a week.

I’m using special DVD of Zumba. It’s a little bit different with zumba exercise in youtube or others zumba exercise. The DVDs is made by a Nutritionist, Rita Ramayulis. I am interesting of her zumba exercise because it’s more simple and easy to do by myself. For your information, i’m not a great trainee.. It needs more time to copy the movement and make it into my owmn movement. Using this DVDs really help me to make it and make me more confidence to try zumba exercise in others place, like our planning to make zumba exercise for women’s only in Salman ITB.

Zumba is a fun dance. It help the workouts like a games and full of fun.

The Zumba’s principal are Laugh, Shake, and Have Fun.

If we didn’t get the some movement like the instructor or the DVDs, don’t be panic and be a shame, continued the movement, don’t stop. In Zumba, there is no a wrong movement… The more often, the easier you get it.

How much that calorie burn from Zumba ?
We can burn between 360 and 532 calories in an hour of fast dancing, according to Harvard Health Publications. There are a lot of factors that affect how many calories that we burn in a Zumba class include how much our weigh, how much of that weight is muscle, and how hard we work out. In general, the heavier you are, the more muscle mass you have and the harder you work out, the more calories you’ll burn 😀

  1. Pengen banget nyobain Zumba, Mbak.. Tapi kalo nonton dari yutup suka ketinggalan, akhirnya mutung trus cuma nonton doank.. Hahahaaa.. 😀

    • Saya juga awalnya nyobain zumba dari DVD.. Tapi alhamdulillah sekarang bisa ikut yang ada instrukturnya langsung.. Mengasyikan kok mb, jk langsung berzumba rame-rame 😀
